North Texas Auto Dealers
***UPDATE*** Attendees to the event have started signing up for test drives. As of September 8th, over 150 people have signed up!
Come join us in Denton Square for Arts & Autos on September 13th!
Texas EV, North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), DFW Clean Cities and Charge Across Town are putting on an electric vehicle test drive event at the festival’s “Electric Avenue” display on W. Oak Street, just west of the courthouse.

The event’s Electric Avenue area is registered with the national event, “National Drive Electric Month.” (formerly National Drive Electric Week and before that, National Plug-In Day, so there should be lots of EV-curious drivers attending.
There will be static displays of EVs provided by EV owners as well as local dealers. We will have experts on hand to answer the public’s questions about EVs, including the details on the $7,500 federal incentive that’s ending soon. In other words, we’ll answer the questions, your salesperson does the test drive.
I know getting a salesperson interested in working an event on a Saturday can be challenging, but we have a spiff for your salesperson and this event normally draws around 10,000 attendees each year. You should also let them know that in 2019, when I sold Chevrolet plug-in vehicles for a living, I worked the National Drive Electric Week event one Saturday and three families followed me back to the dealership to buy an electric vehicle. I remember a “hat trick” being something we celebrated at our dealership. How about yours?
If we could make it easier than that, we would!
If interested, you can sign up for the static display area and/or the EV test drive. If you have questions, contact me via email.
